A nice unscathed surviving section of black cloth covered 2 conductor, shielded audio wire. This type of wire was typically used by RCA, Altec, Collins and other for broadcast recording, and by other manufacturers of high quality like Lansing (prewar), Jensen, and for equalization, phono connections and associated apparatus meant to carry High Fidelity audio.

This section is about 15" long and in good shape. The internal stranded conductors designed for high quality audio .... 2 insulated wires total..... red / black -- tand the outer shielded sheath is also usable for a ground. The individual wires are about 20 gauge or only ,04." OD each / internal conductors are high quality stranded, tinned.

Measure first for your use, as it's quite thick, yet moderately flexible still.   The outer dia is about .18", the OD of the stranded internal wire is about .05" or so.The overall length is for this piece is in the photo. Tough to find cloth shielded wire so nicely surviving !

Generally wire like this fell out of production, after WWII, as the ability to synthesize rubbers and PVC, replaced cloth and rayon as wire insulation of choice. In retrospec, it's now considered superior to seek out certain fabric materials of ilk.

This vintage wire dating from the late 1930's was carefully reclaimed from vintage braodcast audio equipment. If you need 3 conductors, individually then jump on this section --- most are only two and it's rare to find this configuration.

Original wires like this  sell quickly.

Check my 100% feedback (check over what buyers have to say ... they love vintage wire for it's tone-neutral characteristics and I get allot of repeat customers ) ...always fast shipping, and always safe double box packing !!

100% happiness assured on all old audio items.
