Strikingly nice set of 1950's Western Electric 274A rectifiers. Genuine matched pair from December, 1956, both work well, Unit #1 is very strong, with long projected life, reads 52/56 (min=40 is 65% on the calibrated TV7)  Unit #2 46/48 (min=40)  fair working condition, no shorts, shows a shorter, but stable projected life (see test reports Exhibit B & C).  Both units have old original WE box & packing -- these were carefully stored spares of a WECO engineer's estate...  Study all of the photos below and view test reports. These are the ultra sought after original WECO -- from the best era where quality was at it's apex. Both feature the divided double, 1x lower side "D" getter, and top wire spring supported filament!  Both are over  58 years old.....  definately the real McCoy.  

 No shorts on  calibrated testers ... the TV7, unit #1 measures 52/56  (min 40), Unit # 2 measures 46/48 Both Guaranteed NO DOA.   Unit  #1 is stronger  and lower hours than Unit #2.  The original WE 274A will provide the sound and excellent lifespan you can rely only on very old WECO tubes for.   Single "d" getter tubes were only made from the late 40's/50's til early 1960s...an excellent era for top quality. Western Electric tubes like this will outlast and sound much more detailed many of their similarly designed counterparts  (like mil spec 5Z3 / 5u4G) ... upgraded your rectifier results ( surprisingly ) with amazingly improved  resolution & musicality.... as noted by many advanced listeners in Asia/USA.  This old tube has been carefully stored for years in it's original Western Electric box which shows some wear/stains from storage. 

  Both tubes, NO SHORTS >2meg in Jackson machine. )  The beautiful yellow ink bases is tight, no cracks and the flashing is very thick, with some darkening reflecting some hours of use and still thick, indicating a very long life ahead for Unit #1 and a stable remaining life for Unit #2. The clarity of glass is great on both, no brown, cracks or carbon bits. No rattles. This is a pretty, tight, clean set of tubes.  See photos.
