A nicely matching pair of vintage JBL 075 tweeters from the 1960s. They are in nice condition. Unit #2 has slight oxidation, see near finger (exhibit D).   Gleaming front rings with still shinny, crisp, clean paint, one has a few nicks in paint.  They look beautiful in person..all have red seals at all screws (see exhibit's A-G); just as they were directly removed from a working 1960s era cabinet.//

All original JBL diaphragm and 8 ohm coils - still sealed with JBL's red seals. Both units sound excellent, and are in near mint cosmetic condition, with only a few scuffs from age. They are both 100% all original, sealed from the late 1960s, with relative close production (see exhibit E for reports) and extremely well matched, both in condition and sound to ear, and measurements (See exhibit A thru C). Unit # 2 is marked with "R" stamp (see exhibit B), which was simply a speaker manufacturer mark, it is not JBL's model designation.

Looking for vintage, world class tweeters?  These are a good choice!

As JBL stated in their classic AD, the 075 offers "exceptional handling of transients" and "remarkable presence". Well put. I would also add, for tube or solid state, low power listeners alike ... these super tweeters are a bonafide way to get incredible detail and air into your system. Of the classic super tweeters -- most of which appeared in the late 1950s and 1960s .. the 075 was one better built and quite rugged. When integrated into your system, the early models, such as these; are also surprisingly smooth.

The original coils and diapragms tested a near-perfect match (see technician's reports in exhibit A,B,C,D) ... they sound the same and were verified with a 20-20K impedance response sweep (exhibit B,C,D), where these original 8 ohm coils even at each end of spectrum they matched well (see full test reports). As you can see in the charts, 8 ohm coils at HF, become much more like 16ohm VC, as they reach up above 10 ohms (see exhibit D,E) With music, these sounded, crisp, clean and distortion free -- with music at loud volume. No rattles or buzzes. Great sounding units!

It's unusual to see such a nice, matching pair of vintage 075, and with pretty reasonably close production serial #'s (see exhibit A & E for reports). These older 075's sound so nice ... and they will sell quickly.

The most throughly tested and original set you will see anywhere.

See the photos below for full test info. They were tested, swept full range & no buzzes or rattles. They very well matched in tone to ear, and matched efficiency on frequency analyzer (see charts @ 8-14k cycles below).  Included with this pair is an original set of JBL mounting clamp rings, that also double as very useful feet (see exhibit C,D,E, & F) if you were to just set them on your cabinets to use on top - this is a very important piece of original JBL hardware. These will sell quick, as did my last old, nice matched pair…the customer was extremely  happy.

Perched on top of any system, using the ring as a foot (see exhibit D), not at all unlike JBL's Angelus product was intended to do. You must use a recommended 4uf cap, or crossover, or keep the power level low.

Buy now, to avoid a costly bidder's war. Nice original early units are never in stock long!

See my 100% feedback on all audio items. I have owned many 075, and this pair is one of the best sounding I have had. A really nice original pair...

It's smart to buy old, original units because they 1960s and early 1970s diaphragms do sound better than many of the later designs, models & products from JBL.  These are some of the best sounding vintage tweeters out there, and certainly about the most powerful you can own. A top choice for your collection of the worlds supreme UHF tweeters.

Great for your low wattage, SE or PP tube amplifier, they match well in many systems.

Packed weight in secure double box is 14lbs. Guaranteed safe arrival, no DOA, all 100% happy customers.

Fast shipping in double-box with tracking # in email.
