Pair of very early 1960’s Mullard Blackburn factory 12AX7 / Ecc83 tubes. Tested strong and quiet on multiple testers. Quiet to ear - no microphonics!

Matched production codes, both are B8L. And, both test nearly identical -- performing to NOS levels.  Spares from HiFi estate, in old boxes (some fading from many decades of storage).

The tube tests indicate very LOW USE, with NOS performance on all sides, see reports in exhibit A, B, C, D.  Dynamic emissions for easy reference -- all sides read at or above 100% of new.   They have been fully GM matched at fixed 250V bias. Played music -- working great -- tubes are quiet and strong. A really beautiful pair of early 17mm long / tall Blackburn's!

Matched construction, authentic, thick smokey 1960s style Mullard flashing, cross seam bottles -- and bright flash at power on!  Low hour spares from an estate, stored for many years.

Mullard tubes, some of my personal favorites -- have a unique, sweet tone and very detailed sound. Such a nice companion and change-up to Telefunken and other such classic german tubes. If you own and love Telefunken, you owe it to yourself to try very old Mullards like this from the 1950s & 60s. Mullards typically feature several unique charastics, evident in originals ... etched-in glass codes along the bottom of the glass envelope, thick well defined seams (ridges on tops), thick smoky colored flashing (a special chemistry that's darker than other mfr's), and upon first voltage -- the filament will flash brightly, as the current / resistance stabilizes. These interesting features will always tell you that it's the real McCoy --- classic Mullard's -- Made in England.

If you use 12ax7, 12ax7A, 7025 or Ecc83 in your amp / preamp ... these tubes are terrific sounding oldies. If you currently use modern, or "reissue" tubes, these are generally, for most all amps / preamps, a phenominal upgrade. If you currently cherish other brands of USA, German or Dutch NOS 12Ax7's -- then these genuine Mullards will be a new adventure in sound, and may quickly become your favs.

See our 100% happy customers on all vintage tubes sold.

Matched well for GM mutual conductance and current draw on all sides.   See exhibits B & C.

These are the real McCoy. They will sell quickly, as always. Probably the nicest set of 17mm tall plate Mullards on eBay currently. Buy Now, to avoid a bidder's war.

FAST SHIPPING, DOUBLE BOXED w/tracking # and NO DOA, happiness guaranteed.

Genuine VINTAGE 1950's & 1960s Mullards (like these) are amongst the sweetest and detailed sounding brand of vintage 12Ax7 / ECC83. They exceed all expectations in musicality, sheer detail and amazingly balanced tone, and rich timbre!
