A rarified find for those planning to build their dream monoblock amps using some of the earlier double-triode tubes of the late pre-war era, early 1940s . Seldom seen matched as a pair. UTC's top- of-the-line LS output transformers.  Gourgeous cast / engraved with raised UTC logos on top.   Massive and over-engineered LS series cast shield, perfect for big monoblocks or single chassis amps, making them very desirable for amp upgrades or DiY builds… 

Introduced in the late 1930s' to provide top notch, cost no object builders amps still using classic, big glass triodes, dual triodes and pentodes.

One of these LS-61's is NOS, New-in-box, and has never been soldered, with orig. package. The other is in excellent condition, used little if at all. 

These are less often seen black laquer  finish models from the early 1940s, just before, WWII. Bakelite terminals are solid, tight and free of cracks (they are solid and near perfect;

Very large, approx 85mm x 90mm x 110mm high, each weighs in a hefty 6lbs 10oz each

Nice looking in every way I could see . Paint on both has a few areas of age related flaws from storage, and original rivited tags have a little oxidation on screws, minor finish flaws from storage, normal for age. Original mounting screws included top and bottom. Old repeoduction UTC papers w/ connection info shown in photos also included.

The LS Linear Standard series, introduced back in the 1930s, was one of the earliest commercial grade high-fidelity transformers marketed to amp builders -- quickly becoming popular with builders and recording studios and 40s/1950s hifi fanatics. UTC LS series mostly populated the last of the big studio audio monitoring and recording / powerful record cutting amplifier applications.. helping to lay down some of the best recordings of the golden era.  

The LS-61 features a split Primary 10,000 / 6,000 and Secondary with many potential configurations for output, including;  500 (line stage) ,15, 10,7, 2.5ohms to name a few!  It was designed for Push Pull or Push Pull Parallel of various dual triodes to Speaker Voice Coil or Line at a conservative max of 15 watts. 

Crafty builders could also apply these as alluring and powerful preamp/line stage outputs too!

Lots of potential to build a powerful amp using interesting dual-triode or triode tubes from the 1930s and 40s like 59,79, 6B5 etc!
